A child asked his father how people were born. The father replied, “Adam and Eve made babies, and so on.” The child then went to his mother and asked her to continue the story.
The mother replied, “Well, dear, many years ago, there were monkeys from which humans evolved.” The child was confused and went back to his father to ask him about this.
The father replied, “I told you the truth about my side of the family. Your mother was talking about hers.” ????
Intrigued by the mysteries of life, young Timmy continued his quest for knowledge. He approached his father with a furrowed brow, “Dad, I asked Mom about how people were born, and she talked about monkeys and evolution. What’s that all about?”
His father, with a twinkle in his eye, chuckled and said, “Well, Timmy, your mom and I come from different sides of the family tree, you could say. Let me elaborate on the fascinating journey of human origins.”
So, Timmy settled in for another chapter of the origin story. His father began, “You see, a long time ago, there were no people, just a pair named Adam and Eve. They were like the very first humans, and they made babies, starting the human race.”
Timmy nodded, absorbing the information, but curiosity still danced in his eyes. “But Mom talked about monkeys,” he said, seeking clarification.
With a smile, his father continued, “Ah, yes. That’s another part of the story. Before Adam and Eve, there were creatures that resembled monkeys, and over a vast expanse of time, they evolved into early humans. It’s like a family tree with many branches, each leading to different relatives.”
