Camping Trip

Dave, Tom, and Mike decided to go on a camping trip. As they were setting up their tents, a bear suddenly appeared out of the woods.

Dave shouted, “I read somewhere that you should play dead when you encounter a bear!”

Tom replied, “No way! I’m not going to play dead; I’m going to run for it!”

Mike, being the wise one, said, “I’ve got a better idea. Why don’t we climb up that tree? Bears can’t climb trees, can they?”

So, the three friends scrambled up the tree just as the bear reached the campsite. The bear sniffed around, stood on its hind legs, and roared.

Dave whispered, “Guys, I think we should still play dead.”

Tom said, “No chance, I’m not risking it!” and Mike added, “I agree, let’s stay up here.”

After what felt like hours, the bear got bored, wandered off, and the friends climbed down from the tree.

Dave chuckled, “Well, playing dead might have worked too.”

Tom sighed, “Running away seemed like a good idea at the time.”

Mike grinned, “Climbing the tree was the smartest move, but next time, let’s just go camping at a beach without bears!”

And so, the three friends learned that in the face of danger, sometimes it’s best to trust your instincts and, if all else fails, find a bear-free camping spot!
